Jeremy turned 8 on August 2nd and was baptized August 3rd, right after church. It was such a wonderful day for us. We have been having family home evenings about baptism for the past month and we have also been talking with Jeremy about what it means to be baptized. We are so proud of him and the decision he made (on his own). We were nervous about him being too shy to walk down into the font in front of so many people, but he did just fine. The songs he picked were Lead Kindly Light and I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ. I gave the talk on baptism and Jesse gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and then of course he also baptized Jeremy and confirmed him as well. Uncle David and Hayden (Jill's brother) said the prayers and the missionaries did a small presentation during the changing clothes time. As you can see from the top picture, Jesse's Mom and step-Dad came. She is very supportive of our kids in their church things even though she is not a member and we are grateful for that. Now a little "tribute" about our boy!! He is naturally a good boy and we are proud of him. He is starting to be so grown up; speaking his mind and asking more in-depth questions about everything! We sometimes say that he woke up and was 14 years old all of a sudden. He is in second grade now and loves school. Some of his favorite things right now are Pokemon, certain video games, and normal boy interests like Power Rangers, Transformers and Batman. He has a little group of other boys that he "hangs out" with from the neighborhood. He has been invited to sleepovers but he's not quite ready for that! We feel so blessed to have him (and all of our other children) in our lives; Jesse and I will always remember the years when we wondered if we were ever going to have children on this earth. Jeremy is also going to start going to Cub Scouts now and participating in the Faith in God program from church and we feel that he is reaching so many milestones right now. It's an exciting time for us in our family!
