just a little update

i've almost forgotten how to do this; this blogging thing. i'm waiting for some chicken to defrost in the microwave so i thought i might as well update a bit although i'm on facebook pretty regularly. for some reason i'm not able to comment on anyone's blog due to my inability to view the letter/number verification. so i don't know what's up with that but i'm still reading all of your blogs. i don't have any cool pictures this time but hopefully i will be inspired to put some up here now that i have updated. so what's going on with the lawrences? nothing much. we are in need of a job again; our move to alabama, which we still maintain was inspired, hasn't really panned out the way we wanted and jesse has worked this past year at a temporary school teaching job which he enjoyed but is now over. so we are a little up in the air about where to go next. he has applied for chemist jobs pretty much everywhere so we are just waiting to see what happens at this point. if you would like for the lawrences to live by you, message me and i will send you a resume! just kidding. no, no i'm really not. jesse is giving his resume to anybody and everybody! our last two moves were very specific. we knew we needed to go to new mexico and then back to alabama. now we don't feel anywhere specific at all, so we are looking anywhere. we really miss new mexico tons, but unfortunately those jobs seem the least promising. you never know, though. right now we are happily getting by on our savings (thank goodness we have some) and for some reason i don't feel at all upset or stressed. i'm pretty confident that we'll find something soon.
in other family news, sam is now 6 and meredith is now 8 and was baptized at the end of may. jeremy will be 10 in a week and i dont' know where the time has gone. we have categorized the kids into the 'big kids' which are jeremy, meredith and sam and then there's adam, who is still only 2. and he still acts 2 but we'll make it. anyways, our big kids are all in school and are getting so grown up. jesse and i are really enjoying this whole school-age kids thing we have going on now. i thought it would bother me to transition from the whole baby-toddler kid household to the school-age household but it's awesome! ok, chicken is done so i'm gonna go cook. so obviously my life is still the same! hope to update again soon.

Katy,
I never have time to check blogs, but I am so glad I checked yours and that you updated! I'm so glad to hear that things are going well despite the unemployment. I am sure the Lord will continue to provide for you. What grades does Jesse teach or is he just looking for a job as a chemist? I will ask around up here for you.
God Bless!

Yay, you updated! Sounds like things are going well, I hope you can find a job soon. Maybe you'll get one in the east so we can be close!

So glad for the update! We miss you guys so much. We still want to come to Alabama for Thanksgiving (hopefully you'll still be there) but haven't bought tickets yet because, well, they're kind of spendy! Your kids really are growing up so fast, but, oh, they're so adorable! We love you!

Yay, Katy! Welcome back to the blogging world! You have to keep all of us "non-facebookers" up to date! So, no luck with the jobs in New Mexico? Bummer. We would so like to have you guys back, but we are out of here in 5 anyway. I think Arizona would be a nice place to settle down, specifically in the White Mountains, so we can have family parties again! Love ya!

hey katy, try usajobs.gov
my mom works for the govt and they take really good care of you (but not so great if you're just a citizen... jk ;) anyways, they post weekly, it takes a while to upload/register, but once you do it's worth it to go back every week!
